Injection molding method
Dec 18, 2019

The cost of injection molding equipment and mold is low. In mass production, the investment is only 1/4 to 1/2 of that of general injection molding. At the same time, there are many methods to meet the needs of different fields and improve the overall production efficiency.

The exhaust injector, introduced by MIM manufacturers, has an exhaust port in the middle of the cylinder and is also connected to the vacuum system. When plastic is plasticized, the vacuum pump can remove moisture, monomers, volatile substances and air from the plastic through the exhaust port. Raw materials need not be pre-dried to improve production efficiency and product quality. Especially suitable for polycarbonate, nylon, plexiglass, cellulose and other hygroscopic materials forming.

Flow injection molding can be used with ordinary moving screw injection machine. That is, plastic is continuously plasticized and pressed into the mold cavity with a certain temperature. After the plastic fills the mold cavity, the screw stops rotating. The thrust of the screw makes the material in the mold keep proper time under pressure, and then it is cooled and shaped. Flow injection molding overcomes the limitation of equipment to produce large products, the quality of the parts can exceed the large injection volume of the injection machine. It is characterized by the fact that plasticized objects are not stored in the cylinder but are continuously squeezed into the mold, so it is a combination of extrusion and injection.

According to MIM manufacturers, co-injection molding is a method of injecting plastic of different varieties or colors into the mold simultaneously or successively by using injection machines with two or more injection units. This method can be used to produce composite products of multiple colors and/or plastics. Typical co-injection molding is bicolor injection and multicolor injection.
