Thermosetting plastic injection molding is a process of physical and chemical changes, and is irreversible, because the material by the screw shear mixing friction heat, its temperature will be higher, so that can quickly dispose of the article, but there are still defects in the process, we need to solve in time.


Defects of thermosetting plastic injection molding:


MIM process manufacturers introduce equipment and mold investment cost is high. The investment cost of thermosetting injection machine and thermosetting injection mold is 5 to 10 times of the investment cost of compression molding process, which is one of the main reasons affecting the promotion and application of injection technology. The benefit of injection molding applied in multi-variety and small-batch injection parts is not high, which is more suitable for the production of large-batch injection parts.


The utilization of injection materials is poor. Because one waste handle per injection can not be recovered, for small injection parts, multi-cavity injection mold, the waste rate can be up to 50%, usually 15% to 20%, so the waste of raw materials is very large. At present, countries in the world are developing the injection technology without runner and gate to overcome this defect.

Not suitable for injection parts with many inserts. Because the thermosetting plastic injection molding process is rapid prototyping production, the insert can not be automated. It will certainly take more time, so that the rapid automatic production of the injection machine can not be high-speed production.


Subject to packing type restrictions. If the injection material is not made of soft filler, due to the shearing action of the screw, the reinforcing fiber injection material is damaged, which is difficult to meet the technical requirements for the strength of the product, and the wear of the barrel and screw is serious, affecting the service life.


MIM process manufacturer introduces injection parts with orientation. When the molten injector passes through the nozzle and runner at high speed, the wood powder and fibrous filler are arranged according to the flow direction, and the mechanical strength and physical properties of the injector are directional, which easily causes the warpage deformation of the injector.
