The MIM mold differs from the standard plastic mold in several ways. The heat conductivity of the feed is several times higher than that of the plastic, resulting in flow
The property will be much worse, and the shrinkage rate of MIM mold is usually 15% ~22%, which is much larger than that of plastic mold, resulting in the embryo
Density and sintering size control is more difficult, many companies make mistakes in this problem, and metal powder on the barrel and mold
The destructive power is much stronger than the plastic, and so on, so we need to make some changes when designing the MIM mold:
1. Mold steel
Should choose the heat treatment steel of high wear-resisting, but do not say to use the steel that feed feed of tungsten to do stainless steel feed mold, such meeting
There is a certain cost of waste, so according to the feed to choose steel
2, the hot runner
-- the liquid hot runner is more stable than the electrothermal runner, resulting in more uniform density of the embryo and less sintering deformation
3. Runner and rubber mouth
-- due to the large shrinkage rate and the high thermal conductivity of the feed, the arrangement of the flow passage and the rubber mouth must be balanced, otherwise after sintering
Plastic work is more troublesome, some serious machining to correct the size, resulting in the increase in manufacturing costs
4. The length of feeding head in the filling mouth of the mold should be as short as possible to reduce the flow path of feeding, thus reducing the heat loss
