Profile mold manufacturing is generally after forging, cutting, heat treatment and other processes. In order to ensure the manufacturing quality of the mold, reduce the production cost, the material should have good forgoulability, machinability, hardenability, hardenability and grinding; There should also be small oxidation, decarburization sensitivity and quenching deformation cracking tendency.
1. malleability
It has low deformation resistance of hot forging, good plasticity, wide forging temperature range, low tendency of forging cracking, cold cracking and net carbide precipitation.
2. Annealing process
The annealing temperature range is wide, the annealing hardness is low, the fluctuation range is small and the spheroidization rate is high.
3. machinability
High cutting parameters, low tool loss, low surface roughness.
4. Oxidation and decarbonization sensitivity
When heated at high temperature, the antioxidant capacity is good, the decarbonization speed is slow, is not sensitive to the heating medium, produces the pitting tendency is small.
5. hardenability
After quenching, it has uniform and high surface hardness.
6. hardenability
After quenching, a deeper layer of hardening can be obtained and hardened by a mild quenching medium.
7. Quenching deformation and cracking tendency
The conventional quenching volume changes little, shape warping, distortion is slight, abnormal deformation tendency is low. Conventional quenching is not sensitive to quenching temperature and workpiece shape.
8. Grinding can be
The grinding wheel has small relative loss, large limit grinding consumption without burns, and is not sensitive to the quality and cooling conditions of the grinding wheel.
