In recent years, micro-metal injection moulding process (mu-MIM) has been developed for the purpose of manufacturing metals and alloys that can be used for mass production of micro-parts and micro-structure surfaces. Mu-MIM greatly improves the availability of metals and alloys for micro-applications, such as new materials with high temperature stability, strength and toughness, thermal conductivity and magnetism.
In addition, compared with plastic micro injection moulding, the bimetal production process developed by mu-MIM enables two different metal materials to be joined together (bimetal co-injection) during the injection moulding process. Today, Shandong No2 Machinery Factory briefly introduces the current situation of these two processes.
